The Ronald McDonald House of Chapel Hill strongly encourages continued caution in regards to avoiding large crowds and travel to areas known to have high levels of COVID-19 cases. Travel home during your stay is discouraged. Long-term families who need to travel home for 1-2 nights should speak with a staff person ahead of time. You will be asked to leave your keycards at the desk until you return. Those who need to be gone more than 2 nights may be asked to check out, and request a new room when they return.
There are no restrictions around your travel in the local community for appointments, grocery shopping, and other activities. We do ask that you be mindful in avoiding crowded areas and taking necessary precautions such as mask wearing, maintaining physical distancing, and practicing good hand washing and hygiene.
We require all guests, staff members, volunteers, and vendors to stop by the front desk once a day to complete a wellness screening.
