After two years with the House, Liz Snyder has announced her resignation as Executive Director of the Ronald McDonald House of Chapel Hill. Liz will be relocating to Greenville, South Carolina to be the Executive Director of Home Health and Hospice for Prisma Health.
Liz led the House through an exciting transition as we settled into our new “normal” with our expanded campus, serving more families than ever before. During her tenure, we celebrated our 3oth anniversary and faced hurricanes and ice storms, all of which Liz handled with a smile and her hard-working attitude.
“It has been the greatest honor to be a part of the mission of the House,” Liz said. “I have been inspired and forever changed by the strength of our families, the compassion of our staff, the commitment of our community and service of our volunteers. In my time at the House, I received so much more than I gave.”
Liz’s favorite memories of the House include the smell of Barb and Jean’s cooking wafting through the halls every other Tuesday afternoon, learning to set up rooms with Kate Shults and spending Halloween with JD.
Her next role will bring her back to her career roots, serving both pediatric and adult patients outside of the hospital setting. A true passion for Liz, she is looking forward to improving access to post-acute care in rural areas for vulnerable senior and pediatric patient populations.
The House will miss Liz and wishes her the best of luck in her next adventure. “We are extremely grateful for her leadership, hard work and commitment to our families over the past two years,” said RMHCH Board President Josh Tilley. “She has certainly provided a strong footing for the House as we look towards the future!”
