Thank you to everyone that participated in the 26th annual Light-A-Luminary in support of the Ronald McDonald House of Chapel Hill! This year, over 40 neighborhoods lit over 44,000 luminaries, raising over $60,000!
This project brings together local communities in honor of the families staying at the House who are unable to be in their own home during the holidays due to their child’s serious illness or injuries. During December, the House will offer luminary kits for sale at $10 each. Each kit includes supplies for ten luminaries. All proceeds benefit the Ronald McDonald House of Chapel Hill.
Every neighborhood has a coordinator, or group of coordinators who organize the community’s luminary and fundraising efforts. Each neighborhood chooses a lighting night that works best for their community. The luminary lighting is a special night for young and old alike as we usher in the holiday season with the beautiful glow of candlelight.
